Udo Island, an island located 3.5km off the coast of Jeju-do, Korea, is one of the most visited spots in Jeju-do. Jeju-do is well known for its sea, scenery and beauty, and Udo Island is no let down.
The most popular and best way to get around Udo Island is by the ATV. Other ways include, inter alia, by bicycle or motorcycle. (Note: You will need an International Driving Permit to rent the ATV or motorcycle) A round, on the main road, around the perimeters of Udo Island will take about 2-3 hours on the ATV.
Alluring greenery and clear skies will accompany your ride on the ATV as the strong wind brush against your face. Among many activities, you may stop by the horse ranching area for a short 20-minutes ride on the horse (which costs around 10,000-20,000won), or by the famous Hongjodangoe (Coralsand beach) and take a moment to enjoy the picturesque view.
Many cafeterias lie alongside the main road where you can conveniently stop by for a drink or some light snacks. If the cafeteria provides outdoor seating, it is highly recommended that you take a seat outdoor (unless the wind becomes too unbearable for you).
Udo Island is a gem you’ll definitely not want to miss.
